POST 3

My shared media experiences follow me from home, to my job, and in the classroom. Even though at times I receive media solo, it is eventually shared amongst others. I always start my day off immediately sharing media with my roommates, while getting ready or eating breakfast we tune into the local news. During and after the news, a discussion always takes place based on the recent coverage. Coming from different back rounds, and viewing things from different perspectives, tends to rise debates between the four of us. At work I listen to the radio with a few co-workers. The radio covers news, primarily entertainment, as well as traffic and weather reports. This type of media, sparks discussions dealing with famous individuals in the music or film industries, which again forms disputes over who is better at what they produced. When I am watching the news alone, if the story is a high profile one, I more than likely share it with someone close to me i.e. family or a friend, to receive extra feedback on their outlook. On the highways, when accompanied in the vehicle, amber alerts, upcoming events, or news announcing road closures are posted on the highway signs, so topics as such are conversed. In the classroom, to further explain certain topics, or when political issues effect the country, it is talked about. When I am with a group of people inquiring news, I do more listening, than I do talking, being how I am very curious to learn what is it is that others feel toward various types of media. I analyze their conversations and reaction, which is a trait I often perform to understand and respect others perspectives. Media is everywhere worldwide, visual advertisement is designed to get ones attention. Advertisement captivates they eye opposed to the way it does when one, e.g. visits a gallery or museums. One can say the media is ever growing, which will continue to grasp the influence on the worlds choices.
