POST 5
There are several movies that I label as my favorite, but if I had to narrow them down to a few, they would be Clueless, The Color Purple, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons. Between the three, Clueless was my all time favorite growing up. Dealing with fashion, boys, and teenage social life, it definitely caught my attention, leading me to grow more fond of it, when I watched it for the first time. After watching it multiple times, I managed to learn all the words, which came quite annoying to the people who watched it with me. As much as I attempted to watch it without citing the words, it never worked, so eventually it became required of me to watch alone. The Color purple, made in 1985, is still a well known classic, with some of the most influential people amongst us today, and directed by one of the most distinguished directors in Hollywood, Steven Spielberg. It is based on the harsh trials a young African woman manages to overcome facing many struggles. The message it portrays, allows the audience to capture how cruel African Americans were treated by whites, and their own race. Lastly, The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons, is a little unusual for me to say that it's one of my top choices, because I prefer watching realistic occurrences, whether it be a movie or a show. Its storyline is about a infant born into the world with old age, and ages backwards through time. The movie is so heart warming, due to the love that was expressed throughout. It certainly kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what would become of Benjamin's unique transformations during his lifetime. My computer, is strictly for homework, and e-mails, I rather not watch a movie and have to worry about the battery dying on me. The theater just isnt my preference, I'd rather watch movies in the comfort of my home, for this reason I patiently wait for the movies to come out on DVD. The only time I watch movies on TV, is when I'm watching the Lifetime Network, too many of those to name, but I love them! Movies are very entertaining to me, and I'm sure many can relate with me on that. It's not all the time that I'am able to take the time out of my day and watch one, but when I do, you can bet that one out of the three that I mentioned are popped into my DVD player.
